This page contains a lot of graphics (JPEGs, GIFs, and transparent spacer GIFs) but weighs only 35K.

The photos were saved as JPEGs with quality settings of 25 to 35.
You can see some JPEG artifacts around the outside edge of the large photo.
We could have eliminated them by increasing the JPEG quality setting but most viewers
would rather have a faster download than a slightly higher quality image.

The text areas above the design notes were set in aliased text and saved as
two-color GIF files. The advantage of saving the text as a graphic is that
the size of the text will not change on any computer, preserving the integrity
the original design. The disadvantage is that it will not be as easy to change
the text when needed.
