Nestled
at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo mountains, this ancient and historic
city dates back to the late 1500's. For the last 100 years Santa Fe has
been a cultural mecca, attracting artists and writers the world over.
The celebrated diversity of "The City Different" draws from Spanish, Indian,
Mexican, and Anglo influences. With more than 150 galleries it is America's
number one art market, has been rated by Conde Nast as one of the
top three travel destinations in the U.S. and is considered one of the
country's most romantic cities.
Noted for its dramatic skies, Santa Fe has in excess of 100 neon-like
sunsets every year. There is a good chance to catch at least one of them
during the Conference.
Santa Fe was chosen as the principle location for dozens of famous films
including Silverado; Wyatt Earp; Hi-Lo Country; Wild, Wild West, and
most recently, All the Pretty Horses.
