Santa
Fe Screenwriting Conference
Memorial Day Weekend
Friday,
May 25 through
Monday, May 28, 2001
Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA
Are
you an aspiring screenwriter who has never written a screenplay, an experienced
screenwriter wanting to hone your skills, or somewhere in-between?
Regardless
of your level of achievement, the Santa Fe Screenwriting
Conference is the conference for you. SFeSC
offers you a unique opportunity to sit at the feet of and learn from some
of Hollywood's most successful writers and teachers.
Over
a four-day period you can:
- Experience
nine hours of in-depth classroom instruction.
- Choose
from twenty-four 90-minute workshops.
- Attend
two panel discussions.
- Participate
in live scene readings from selected conference screenplays.
- Network
at social events with writers, agents, producers, directors, and others
in the motion picture industry.
What
separates SFeSC from other major
screenwriting conferences is its emphasis on teaching. While the other
conferences place an estimated 90% of their emphasis on the marketing
of a screenplay and 10% on perfecting the product, SFeSC does the opposite:
we place 90% of the emphasis on perfecting the art and craft of screenwriting
and 10% on marketing.
